Genital Warts RemovalHow can we remove genital warts? The overall consensus in the medical community when it comes to genital warts is that they must be removed right away. Genital warts removal is the first line of defense against the disease according to most doctors and they say that the faster that they are removed the better the chances are that they will not return. Of course genital warts removal is not a cure for the disease, as the warts are only the outward signs that the disease is present. Genital warts removal will help in the slowing of progression of the infection that creates the warts. The infection lives on inside the body long after all the outside signs have long been treated, this is why the disease is referred to as chronic and thereby not curable. When the doctor speaks to a person about this disease they will discuss the genital warts removal methods in depth and work to come up with the best course of action to be taken. This can mean a wide array of genital warts removal techniques which are of different levels and extreme measures that need to be discussed. There is important information that the doctor will need to review in conjunction with the risks that are associated with this type of disease. One of the most common genital warts removal methods is freezing. With this method the affected area is frozen with an instant burst of liquid nitrogen which then causes the wart to fall off or be pulled off by the doctor. This is the preferred method that is used by most of the doctors that treat this disease. For the most part this method of genital warts removal is painless and the patient will only feel the slightest amount of discomfort as the area will need time to heal once it warms up again. There is no bleeding or surgery involved in this type of genital warts removal and it is highly cost effective for both the doctor and the patient. There is the problem of the area where the genital warts are present. With this method of genital warts removal, the warts need to be in an easy to access area that will not be easily affected by the short burst of nitrogen. Since the warts generally appear on the outside of the genitals, this is not a problem but there are occasions where the warts can appear inside the genitals, like the cervix on women or the urinary tract on men. When this occurs there must be another genital warts removal avenue investigated as it is not safe to use the liquid nitrogen in the tight enclosed places where the surrounding tissue could be affected. The next most prominent method of genital warts removal is surgery. For those who have genital warts in places where the possibility of freezing is not there, the surgical procedure of genital warts removal is the next best option. The main problem with this removal option is the tendency of genital warts to bleed when any amount of pressure is applied to them. This is not the best thing for a doctor to see as the warts may have grown through a major vein and thus can cause the patient to bleed to death. The skin that is on the genital warts is generally very thin and full of nerve bundles that have grown with the wart as it broke through the surface. With this comes the possibility of pain for the patient after the warts are removed and the nerves are severed. This is in effect the reason why a lot of doctors prefer to not use this particular genital warts removal method but sometimes there is no choice. When the procedure is performed there is a local numbing of the area where the warts are to be removed and then the doctor will carefully slice the wart off using a sharp instrument. When this is complete the doctor will then use small sutures to close the wound. The pain that is sometimes associated with this genital warts removal method can be treated with normal pain reliever or your doctor may choose to prescribe something a little stronger based on the amount of removals that had to take place. There are several other genital warts removal methods that you doctor may choose to use on the case at hand but the preceding types are the most commonly used in the world today. This does not mean that new genital warts removal methods will not appear on the horizon. Researchers are always on the look out for new and improved ways to treat any disease and genital warts is one of them. While it is not curable, there are some options available that will help in treating and controlling the disease to improve the quality of life that the patient has and allow them to return to an active and normal sexual experience.
